Rico Soegiarto was driving home from work in Denpasar, Bali, when he came across a half-buried hungry Siberian Husky. The dog’s body was covered in wounds, making determining her breed impossible. Rico was compelled to rescue her after witnessing her predicament.
Rico, who already had four rescue dogs at home, couldn’t help but be smitten by this puppy the moment he saw her. Hope was named after her bright blue eyes, which shone with optimism despite her poor health.
Rico discovered Hope and carried her home, where she began to heal. Rico gave her numerous medicinal baths and ate a lot of food to help her fur regrow. Rico did an incredible job of nursing Hope back to health.
Hope’s identity grew with time, and she gradually gained confidence. As her hair grew back, she was unrecognisable.
A year later, Hope’s transformation was complete, and she is now a gorgeous, disease-free Husky. Rico not only saved and transformed Hope, but also took her in as a pet.
Hope is now living in Bali with Rico and his family, enjoying her “second chance” at life!
